Greetings!
I was born in 1959, grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, and lived in Australia from 1979 to 1987. In 1984, after attending a free meditation course offered by the Sri Chinmoy Centre in Adelaide, South Australia, I made the very fortunate decision to became a student of the spiritual Master Sri Chinmoy. I first visited him in April 1985 and have been practicing meditation and spiritual living with the benefit of Sri Chinmoy's loving concern and guidance ever since.
"A spiritual Master or Guru is like the eldest child in the family, and the seekers are like his younger spiritual brothers and sisters. Spiritual Masters tell and show their younger brothers and sisters where their Father, the Absolute Guru, is." – Sri Chinmoy.
Besides meditation, one of my favourite activities is playing Sri Chinmoy's music on my wooden flutes (hear a sample). I often play music in hospitals and public spaces. In more recent years, I have been spending time in Christchurch where I have had the privilege of working at The Lotus-Heart vegetarian restaurant and at Gandharva Loka – a world music store. Both enterprises are owned and operated by Sri Chinmoy's students.
"If we practice meditation daily, then we can rest assured that the problems of our life, inner and outer, are solved." – Sri Chinmoy.
